Posts to Date on the Trinity Versus Christ
Here are 50 posts I’ve written about how the Trinity contradicts the Bible’s doctrine of Christ. (Additional posts – more than 100 more – are cataloged farther below.)
Christ the Lord is our God and Savior. To Him we owe faith and obedience. He is the God of all righteousness and He lives in our midst. We either acknowledge Him and live, or we deny Him and merely exist. He is the One whom the doctrine of the Trinity obscures, and for this reason we should pursue His doctrine, the doctrine of Christ, instead. This is what the Bible would have us do.
Most of the posts listed below deal with the Trinity versus Christ issue directly; some address it peripherally. The posts are organized by blog and by date originally written (oldest first). (By the way, all of my blogs deal with the same subject matter and convey the same truths; they exist separately only to present the same information in different ways to different readers. If you want to better understand the focus of each blog, read its respective About section.)

HI I am kind of confused. If there is no trinity then when Jesus was praying to the Father, he was just talking to himself? What about the voice from heaven that said, this is my son when Jesus was baptised and the Holy Spirit came down like a dove? It just seems like there are three persons based on that alone. How do you explain that? I am not upset or anything, I just feel more confused than before hearing that there is no Trinity.
JG
Under the concept of the trinity, “when Jesus was praying to the Father” you have God praying to God. If God praying to God confuses you, why doesn’t the trinity concept confuse you?
The trinity is not an explanation, it’s an equivocation. It’s a way of saying God is one when the Scripture says He’s one, but He’s more than one when we think the Scripture is saying He’s more than one. God is either one (as the Scripture explicitly states in Deuteronomy 6:4 and elsewhere) or else He’s not. The trinity is double talk. The Scriptures, on the other hand, are straightforward: God is one.
As for the story of Jesus’ baptism, there is nothing in it that would make you think God was a trinity. You’ve just been conditioned to think of the story in that conceptual framework. Note that this baptism occurred at the inauguration of Jesus’ ministry and no one there concluded from it that God was a trinity. Set aside church teaching and just focus on what the Scriptures say.
When God became a human being like us, He emptied Himself of all divine privilege. He did not live on the earth as God; He lived on the earth as a man. Only in the glorification that came after His suffering and crucifixion was He restored to His full glory.
